Nominated!

Today Javier Bardem has been nominated for the Oscar’s for his performance at “No country for old men”.

I haven't seen the film yet but I'm looking forward to seeing it. I enjoyed the film which gave him his last nomination for his performance of Reinaldo Arenas at the film "Antes de que anochezca".

Do you think that nomination will help somehow the Spanish film industry?

I like Spanish films "El cielo abierto", "You're the one" or "Sobreviviré" (Have you seen them?) but I can't either stand Almodovar's or Santiago Segura's films, they're too much for my nerves.
What kind of cinema are you keen on? Do you like Spanish films?

I saw the trailer on the Web. It looks interesting but there's so much violence that I do not know if I'll be looking forward to watching it as you are. As I get older I like more peaceful films. I do like Almodovar. Specially "Hable con ella" and "La Ley del Deseo". These two are my favourites.

Excellent little piece! That's the way to go!

Just a little insignificant thing:
-I haven't seen the film yet... (not already which here means "ya")

Actually not so much...but if I want to be realistic I don't see cinema in general. Most of the times, english or american films in O.V. because is a good idea to improving the language...I usually see on T.V...see you

I really like Spanish films. Perhaps, in my case the same as buterfly, I try to see American o English films. However, reading the post of buterfly I see that we have very good directors. Some time ago, I really enjoyed with a film "la lengua de las mariposas" based in a Manuel Rivas'book and the scriptwriter, Rafael Azcona, did a fantastic adaptation. The director was José Luis Cuerda.

Well. Thanks for your recommendation.

See you.

Wow! I've been told it is an excellent film. I'm looking forward to watch it! The Coen Brothers usually make really interesting films. I like non commercial "Holywood" american films. "Juno" is an excellent film. Have you seen it? I also like French cinema so much. I think it's really fresh and the same time full of meaning. I love "Les choristes (Los chicos del coro)", "8 women", and in a way "Amelie".
